A la sombra de la sierra

Wandering around la Dehesa extremeña, my dad explained me old stories of the transhumance and the seasonal migration my grandpa had to endure to move the livestock from place to place. My granny on another hand, had to take the train every day to the big city to sell the cheese she made at home.

It’s amazing to think how lively these lands were once, bursting with farmers and animals and with the railway that crossed the whole province.

Now everything is empty but you only need Capri to walk by your side and fill your heart with nostalgia through his words.
